Youth, Religion, and Identity: A Canadian 
and International Workshop

Workshop Description:

This workshop will provide a broad comparison and encourage discussion on the various religious and social, political, economic, and cultural forces affecting youth and identity; it will underline diverse methods and theoretical approaches pertinent to the study of youth and religion; and it will result in the publication of an edited volume and a website making the results broadly available and allowing the networking that the workshop began to continue into the future. In this context, it will also promote the training of new researchers in this area through the inclusion of Canadian and University of Ottawa graduate students and their work.

Description de l'atelier:

Cet atelier offrira une comparaison détaillée et encouragera une discussion sur les différentes forces religieuses, sociales, politiques, économique et culturelles qui touchent les jeunes et leur identité. Il soulignera les méthodes et les approches théoriques relatives à l'étude des jeunes et de la religion et mènera à la publication d'un volume édité ainsi qu'à un site web rendant les résultats largement disponibles et permettant le réseautage. Cet atelier va également promouvoir la formation de nouveaux chercheurs dans ce domaine par l'intégration d'étudiants des cycles supérieurs d'universités canadienne et de l'Université d'Ottawa.
